Service Terms
These terms describe how projects offered through this website are contracted, priced, delivered and guaranteed.
1. Contracting entity and personal service delivery
All linguistic validation projects offered through this website are personally managed and performed by Vladka Sokolova, Managing Director of VIAX. Client communication, project decisions, and deliverables are handled directly by her, in writing, as described on this site. VIAX Corporate Language Solutions OOD acts as the contracting and invoicing entity.
2. Contract formation
The content of this website, the pricing calculator, and any submitted project brief are invitations to discuss a possible project. They do not constitute a binding offer. A contract exists only upon written acceptance of a written proposal.
3. Prices and payment
Prices shown on this website are indicative and follow the published pricing structure. Final pricing is confirmed in the written proposal. Payment is 100% upfront, and work begins upon receipt of payment.
4. Timelines
Standard timelines are as published on this site: 4 weeks without cognitive debriefing and 10 weeks with cognitive debriefing. These timelines are indicative and apply to projects of up to 5 languages, and may extend by two weeks where a project coincides with holiday periods. The applicable timeline is confirmed per project in the written proposal.
5. Scope of the Lifetime Rework Guarantee
A deliverable is considered "challenged on linguistic-validation grounds" when a regulatory authority, an ethics committee, the instrument developer or copyright holder, or the client's quality-assurance or audit function raises a written, documented objection concerning: (a) the linguistic accuracy or conceptual equivalence of a delivered translation relative to the source instrument; (b) the conduct, sequence, or documentation of the validation steps performed; or (c) the completeness or audit-readiness of the delivered validation documentation.
In any such case, I will first respond to the objection with the relevant project documentation and written clarifications, at no cost. Where the objection is substantiated, as evidenced by the project's validation record, and rework of the affected deliverables is genuinely required, that rework is likewise performed at no cost, for as long as it takes, with no time limit.
The guarantee covers clarification and rework; it does not constitute an admission that any challenged deliverable is deficient. It does not cover: modifications made to the source instrument after delivery; regulatory or developer requirements introduced after delivery; stylistic preferences that do not affect accuracy or conceptual equivalence; changes made by the client or third parties to delivered materials; or services outside the agreed project scope.
6. Confidentiality
All client materials are treated as confidential. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request.
7. Intellectual property
Rights in the deliverables transfer to the client upon full payment. Copyrights in the source instruments remain with their respective holders.
8. Liability
Liability is limited to the project fee, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Bulgarian law. Disputes are subject to the competent Bulgarian courts.
